Nature and Scope of the Conference:

Digital phenomenon is impacting the aspects of business, institutions and society. Diffusion of new technologies such as mobile, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, big data, robotics, 3D printing, apps, e-commerce, streaming and other web-based products and services. Digital formats have become production and delivery of a wide range of goods and services. Given the dynamics of the digital age the 7th SGBED research symposium is inviting conceptual and empirical research papers, research works in progress, case studies, and proposals for panel sessions on, but not limited to the Following topics:

  • Advances in Digital Technologies and Development: Digital Technologies across Urban and Rural Communities; Agriculture, Manufacturing & Services; Health Care, Education; Tourism & Hospitality, Entertainment, etc.      
  • Knowledge, Human Capital & Data Management in a Digital Age: HR, Intellectual Capital, Technology Management, Technological Forecasting & Big Data
  • Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Micro Enterprises in a Digital Age: Mobile Technology, “Apps,” Crowd Funding & Enterprise Development   
  • Marketing & Consumer Behavior in a Digital Age: E-commerce; B to B; B to C; C to C Transactions
  • Sales Force Management & CRM in a Digital Age
  • Integrated Marketing Communications in a Digital Age: Digital Advertising; Social Media & Social Networks  
  • Supply Chain Management in a Digital Age  
  • Digital Technology in Government and Delivery of Public Goods & Services: Role of Bio-metric Identity Cards (eg, Aadhaar in India)
  • Banking, Finance, Accounting, Taxation & Payment Systems in a Digital Age
  • Privacy, Cyber ​​Threats & Security Issues
Deadlines:

Submission of Abstracts:     September 15, 2018

Acceptance Notification:      October 15, 2018

Submission of Final Papers: November 15, 2018

Submission Guidelines:
  1. Submissions must be formatted as follows: 8.5 “x11” or 216 × 279 mm), with one-inch (2.5 cm) margins, double-spaced, Times New Roman 12-point font. List of the notes and bibliography at the end of the manuscript
  2. Paper should strictly adhere to the APA format and reference style. 
  3. Submit manuscript by email attachment to MS word to  ylylimbu@gmail.com  and also email to soft copy to your respective area coordinator
  4. Participate in the conference.
  5. Please indicate Submission type : Full Competitive Paper, Special Topics / Panel Session, Abstracts, Doctoral Dissertation, and Student Paper.

Full Competitive Papers 

The cover page should include authors’ information: names, affiliation, mailing addresses, email addresses, telephone numbers with the name of the primary author for further contact.

30 pages, double-spaced; including references, tables and figures, accompanied by an abstract, not 200 words, with key-words as appropriate for the theme.

Submission of Abstracts

Provide full name, affiliation, contact information, email, phone number in a separate page; and bibliography is not counted towards the page limit. In double spaced. Provide an abstract and state the key word (s) as appropriate for the theme of your submission. The abstract should highlight research objectives, theoretical frameworks and / or hypotheses, proposed research methodology and results (if applicable), and expected contribution to literature as well as managerial implications.

If you are unsure if your presentation meets our guidelines, please ask us. We would rather talk to you about issues in advance of sending you to rejection notice.

Special Issues of Peer-reviewed Journals: (For details, contact special issue editors)

Only full papers are considered for special issues. All the submissions will be subjected to the review process of the concerned journals .

  1. Journal of Knowledge Management (Emerald, ABDC A Category, Scopus Index)   Following the research symposium, the authors of selected high quality papers will be able to make substantial revision and improvement according to journals. Regular Issue of the Journal of Knowledge Management (IF5y: 3.293). Revised and submitted the traditional papers will be undergo the double blind peer review process.

Refund Policy

All cancellations must be notified by e-mail (gouher.ahmed@skylineuniversity.ac.ae) to the Co-Chair & Host Coordinator. The following conditions will be applied:

  • 30 days or more before the conference: a 25% cancellation fee will be withheld for the administrative fee
  • 30 days or less days: no refund

Reimbursement will be processed after the conference.
